i bought mine new in early 2009 just hit 34k and only problem is the damn steering klunk

Is the steering clunk a known issue? Mine does it alot now and it seemes like the steering shaft. Is it a safety issue?

103,000 aka 103K. I have 2009 Nissan Versa Base 1.6L manual transmission. I have about 103,000 on the car and today is Sept 2021.

BEWARE OF E-85 GAS IF YOUR VERSA DOES NOT SUPPORT IT. I must say to the nissan versa junkies be careful at the greenie gas stations. The Greenies have unleaded versions E15 and E85 gas now at the gas pump. I accidently put E-85 gas in my car. Luckily I only put 3 gallons but it was enough to cause my car not to start later that month. So now I have been capping off the gas tank and will not let it drop below 3/4 full till I saturate the 3 gallons with real gas for my 2009 versa. E-85 gas is 85 pct ethanol or some other substitute and I do not have the mechanical fuel system obviously to support E-85 gas. I believe the manual in glove compartment said I can use E-15 and not have problems. I will have to double check manual in glove compartment after I hit submit on this posting. If I put in a full E-85 gas into the versa I would have been F'd big time. It would have done bad things to versa. I am guessing the car would stall out, be towed, then versa would have to have its stomach pumped (gas tank emptied) by the mechanics. And who knows what else damage E-85 can cause to my Versa. My versa does not support E-85 gas.

I came on today to talk about how long to expect a starter/solenoid will last since I am at 103,000 miles on my manual transmission. I may have to post to another thread since this thread only wants current mileage. I hope I contributed today to the Nissan Versa-ites thread. -regards your Polska One

Did an airbag recall yesterday on an '07 with 235K, service records indicated engine and tranny both still original. :)

You should at least put some transmission stop leak in your transmission that you can find at your local parts store. Your leak will only continue to get worse. It might just be the seal that seals the transmission pan which wouldn't be such a big expense. You might at least want to check for this to see where the leak might be the next time the oil is changed. Just my humble opinion and 2 cents.

Thanks to the pandemic, my 2019 Versa has only 16,300 miles on it. This is my 2nd Versa and I'm loving it. My first Versa had 77,000 miles on it with no major issues when I traded it for the 2019. I only traded it to beat the $4,000 price price increase for the 3rd generation Versa. I plan to keep my 2019 for a very long time.

We drive a 2009 Versa S hatchback delivered to us in September of 2008. Today crossed over the 119,000 miles mark. Still on original plugs. Replaced a few rear lightbulbs. On the fourth set of tires, installed at 112k, third set at 77k, second set at 44k. Did a simple drain and fill of the ATF at 58k and again at 99k. Front driver side window motor was replaced at some point, can't remember when I did that. Replaced rear drums and shoes at 70k. Front break pads at 92k. Otherwise standard oil changes following the 6 months or 7.5k miles whichever comes first schedule. Engine coolant drain and fill every 5 years, no flush, at 44k, 83k and 115k.

2012 Hatchback S, Manual. around 158K , goes strong. Original everything. Tires , oil changes, MAF cleaned and throttle cleaned around 100K. Trans oil replaced. The top engine mount replaced The rubber was cracked. Probably the others need replacement as well. Front pads are making noise (finally) so going to replace. I have installed a hitch and a trailer harness. Towed light boat, small U-Haul utility trailer with some yard trash. All is well. Will keep it for another 150K, then will see.

2018 with 65000 miles. Stick shift S model.I live and drive in downtown Baltimore, bought the car new. Just inspected the front brake pads. Almost 50% of pads remain. Try that with an automatic.
