My 2010 is still a baby, only like 1650 miles. I leased it July 22, 2010.

1992 Maxima GXE VG engine 02A tranny, 225000 miles. previous owner NEVER did any maintenance so i'm having some fun. in the first week after i bought it, i did the fuel filter, changed the oil, fixed the battery drain. next up is rebuilding the fuel injectors, slow flushing the transmission and getting the alignment checked and fixed.

Just rolled to 138k on my 2004. That makes for 19,000 miles in a shade over 10 months. I've determined that I drive WAY too much. Luckily the trans was replaced right after I bought it so I'll be good for another 100k if I keep it that long.

On a side note, welcome to all those here that are new! Feel free to introduce yourself over in the GenChat section and post up some pics of your car in the Maxima/I30/I35 section!

46.5k, not a single problem, just regular maintenance. Commute 70 miles a day. Just noticed the accl is a little different, but I think it was some bad gas possibly (I use 91/93).

1998 Maxima SE...239000 and running strong. Best car ever. It gets a good workout on the I-95 corridor between Richmond and Baltimore on my weekly commute.

14 years 240,000 miles this week for me on my 1996!

Best machine I have ever owned. Can still stomp the gas and let it sink me back into the seat, if I want to feel the power, and not one puff of smoke.

Only repairs are one stripped spark plug and subsequent coil (don't know what happened there), brakes, synthetic oil every 10,000 miles (yes 10,000), and tires.

Acually gave it to my daugher to drive, and bought a great Jeep for a year. Started commuting with a new job and asked for it back because it was so good.

Now going after 300,000+!

I am just shy of 155000 miles and I transferred the car to my college aged daughter. It killed me to give her this car. I told her if she wrecks it, I will wreck her. I just bought a 2007 Nissan Murano with only 14K on it. I just hope the Murano is a good and reliable as my Maxima. I know it is the same engine, which was the main reason, I bought the Murano. I told my daughter I want the Maxima to reach at least 200K. It is still registered in my name, so it's not going anywhere. I'm a little sad to give up my everyday ride, but I love the Murano too. The 02 Maxima has been the best car I ever owned. No doubt about it....

My daily winter driver is a '98 with 196k. I purchased this car with 65k on it 8 years ago. This has been the best car I have ever owned. No major repairs, just the usual wear and tear items. Very few road miles, these are all commuting miles and generally get 22-24mpg. I drive it fairly hard and still love the acceleration I get out of it. Daughter is in a '96 SE with 185k and wife is currently driving an I35 after selling her 2000 max with 180k. They have all been reliable and great cars to drive. Of the group, the 2000 had the most issues and I attribute that to being the first year of a new model.

A week ago today, I bought a 2002 Nissan Maxima GLE with 131,800 miles on it. I've driven it roughly 200 miles, and fall more in-love :mike with each mile.

99 max 186+. New starter, new radiator, and knock on wood, no real engine issues, although I see some dark staining around the heads...gasket going?

1997 SE - 310,250 currently
Bought it used in 1999 with just over 30K at the time. Thus far, only routine things have been replaced other than typical TLC items. (2) alternators, (1) water pump, struts once, (1) power steering pump, 3-4 various sensors, EGR valve, replaced exhaust and muffler. I have spent more in these items in the last 10K, than in the previous 100K honestly. The tranny is starting to slip I believe, but recently had the fluid changed and changing it again in a month or so to see if it helps. Helped a little with the first change. Drove her to the beach 3 times last summer (only 3+ hour trip one way) and didn't think twice about it! I know she can't last forever, but she'll be mine till she decides she can't go anymore and I'll miss her.

I actually found this site looking at some little things to do to maximize what she has left in her..... Any advice is certainly appreciated......

I have a 1996 Max that just hit 400,000 miles. The car still has the original motor and transmission. Everyone keeps telling me I should contact Nissan and share my story. I wanted to check this website out and do a little research to see if it was indeed rare to have so many miles on a car. I am seriously thinking about writing Nissan a letter or submitting a video to YouTube. I am a firm beleiver that these cars, if taken care of, will run forever and I want everyone else to know what great cars they are.

My 99 maxima has 549,000 miles on it. Original engine and tranny. Replaced the clutch once at around 350K. My father bought the car new in 99 and gave it to me when it hit 500,000. lol.....its my job to keep it going. It drives better then most cars still out there.

My 2001 A33 has 230K kilometers - original engine/tranny. Fantastic car (had it since new) - just replaced the radiator - so if your car is a similar age to mine watch the coolant level !

I have 23[fbvideo][/fbvideo]4K on my 92 Maxima SE. Bought it two years after my divorce. It had 175K on it from a student in Atlanta back in 2003. If at all possible, I do all the work myself, the way I see it one (1) key, (1) driver. When I was New to the car I asked a mechanic did he know anything about a Nissan Maxima ? his reply was " The only thing I about them is, I don't like working on them.
