I LOVE my ride with the Eibachs and the Blues.

Handling is much improved from the seat-of-the-pants feel, and it's not too harsh at all. Feels "planted" and much more responsive. You'll be pleased.

Check front tension rods and rear subframe bushings...

1" front;0.8" rear............the Q already has limited suspension range in that the shocks are directly vertically mounted [not angled] to the hub and they only have a 7" total stroke.

Taking the front compression movement range [already offset more towards compression than rebound] down from 3.75" to 2.75" is about all you can stand. Also the front springs are only 25% stiffer not the 35% stiffer you would calculate as necessary. The front spring [wheel] rate increases from 146 to about 180 and it is roughly linear...........200 would be better but no shock available to match unless you modify and adapt [pay to have custom shocks built. All in all a good compromise, inexpensive combination that delivers 85-90% of what is possible without degrading the ride much.

Don't expect more than 2-3% improvement in oem handling [slalom/skid pad] from a new oem shocked standard springed Q.

When you lower a 21" C of G to 20" [1/61=0.0164 or 1.64% decrease in weight shift].

What you really gain is increased control in sudden lane changes wher the rear is much more controlled and doesn't oscillate as much [due to stiffer rebound control of the blue shocks--when new].

Astute drivers will notice that this [extra control] starts to diminish at 15,000 miles or so [depending on ambient temp] as the shocks wear.

SO true!

I am trying to get new shocks but my car's socks (94Q45t) are on national backorder.

Thanks for the info guys, so if we remove 1 inch of suspension travel in the front is the car prone to bottoming out on the bump stops? I do live in CT and we have some of the worst roads in the country, KONI makes a progressive bump stop that I used on my SE-R, im gonna see if they will work on the Q. Fred I used this guy on with no problems, check it out he has a set for your year, Thanks again

I've used King Springs & the rear is beautiful but the front is a bit harsh. Also their lowered went a bit too low & I had them raised 1/2 inch & it looks great, handles like it's on rails, but the front touches some kerbs & it is, as I said before, just a bit rougher than I like, especially over sharp ruts etc.Kings are supposed to be "The Best" over here, but I think not! :)
