I love you.
BTW, this thread is now full of win.
On a side note, jspec, those wheels are great IMO... I like the era of wheel design to match the era of the car. New wheels on a new car, old school hotness on an old car. Grant's 180 is a perfect example... The wheel matches the car.
I was worried my Kranzes would look outta place when I got them... but the ridiculousness alone (flares, different finish, and stance) makes it somehow come together.
It's certainly not a style that can be pigeonholed, which I like.
Period correct wheels work with period correct aero though. With the Instant Gentleman aero, older styled wheels will not work as well. The styling of that aero is more modern and clean. I'm not saying other older wheel styles won't work..I'm just mentioning that there's no set ingredients, but there are guidelines. Using a more aggressive styled older wheel might look good, but won't look great, like a newer styled wheel would.
Even though this wheel style is older..it's still a style in current production with a few companies. It's a classic simple style that won't really go out of style.
Although it's not an S13..thsi S14 still shows that modern wheels look perfect with this style of aeroparts:
See, now on this demo car they went with old school period correct wheels, but the car looks like an abortion with that combination of aero:
Anyhow..I know different opinions will create different results..but I'm not telling you how I'd do it, I'm telling you what would flow well no matter who you are. Just my $.02
