it says in the FSM to disconnect the airbag system, can i remove the dash with out doing that.

I used this tech article to get my dash out, and it really helped me out. It's for an S13, but the S14 shouldn't be much different. It doesn't say anything about airbags, so you might want to be careful. I say disconnect it if you can.

That article really helped me out. Once I knew where all the bolts where, I got mine out in less than an hour.
