old school pwns you. there is a wide selection of 4 luggers that clear z32 brakes, people just dont search hard enough, and think the only thing out there for 4 lugs are sportmaxes

Hey guys, I feel like a noob for asking this, But...

Why do people want to upgrade to 5 lugs? Is it so they can get a bigger selection of rims?

any way good news: i got the rotors from her dad this morning his shop is serious i have pics but it wont let me upload them for some reason. he drilled them on a real deal cnc machine like orange county choppers type stuff!! it was sweet.......and best of all it was free
My bad, I've had a bad week (totaled my car ) and he just kind of erked me with the ignorant statments.

Sweet can't wait to see some pics, and you can't beat that price.

I have a quick question. What size rim and offset you need to clear z32 breaks. I have some 17" rims with a 38mm offset I think it is. They where on my CIVIC before it became a crushed beer can. I was going to swap them on my 240sx i just bought.

That question makes no sense. 10 inch rims with a +100 offset will fit or a 35" rim with a zero offset will fit.

What are you talking about????I was asking if a 17" rim with a 38mm offset will clear the caliper of on a Z32 brake conversion? I dont get where you are trying to go with your "That question makes no sense. 10 inch rims with a +100 offset will fit or a 35" rim with a zero offset will fit." comment?

I asked because I had a CRX with 4dr civic Ex brakes and the stock rims wouldn't fit because the offset. So i didnt want to run into the same problem with Z32 brakes......

Also if anyone else reads this, is the Altima rotors with q45 calipers a good combo?

You are a n00b. STFU. Your question is as vague as I've ever seen.

Alright, red top I guess you do not understand what I am saying.

Adrians_s13: I was reading that altima rotors will fit they are just thinner. They where saying use 3mm shims behind the pads and they fit fine or at least thats what i take it as they said "I have use d3mm shims and it has worked fine" or at lest it was something along those lines. I was asking about the combo because you still get like 40% more stopping power with out a redrill or having to swap any lines or MC. Z32 kinda a little steep for me at the time but having a little more stop would be nice so I figured I would just go with this combo.

the bolt pattern on civic wheels is 4x100 the bolt pattern on 240sx's is 4x114.5 your civic's wheels will not fit (*unless they are universal four lug*)

LOL, OK guys I am not stupid!!!!!! the wheels I have are 4x114.5 and 4x100. I am asking if the offset will clear the Calipers or rub against them...

actually its 114.3mm and btw, its not the offset that determines if it clears or not, its the spoke design that determines if it clears. there are some stock s13 alloys that clear z32's, and there are some that dont.

Hence my comment about the +100 offset and 10 inch rim. But he refuses to listen. Much less comprehend.

got them on and took it out driving last night seems to stop a little bit better then it did with my ebc rotors and hawk pads. it didnt seem like the rotors were seating on the hub properly when i was putting it back together; but it drives fine.

I read somewhere that you have to enlarge the hole a little bit on the hub side to get it to fit properly. I think it was on this forum, but I am not sure. He suggested using a 17/32 or 33/64 inch bit or something like that to ream out the 1/2 inch hole a little.

edit: Found the article. It is the J30 brake upgrade. He used a 35/64 inch bit, but said you could also use a dremel.
