Hi there,
I've been lurking since April 2015, the minute we bought a 1990 300zx NA for my 17 year old son. He is just beyond happiness!!
Any who, after replacing the inlet and outlet hoses plus thermostat (it had a leak right there) we are already on the road with the car and it passed smog here in 'give more money/we tax you because we can" CA!!!
The Smog tech recommended me to change the fuel hoses cause they are showing signs of brittle and cracking..right at the fuel filter, NAPA has some but they need to know the diameter of those hoses, which I cannot find it anywhere...can anyone help me out?
I could order them on line (Z1 has a kit, really cheap, but I need to have that car safe ASAP) but time is of the essence.

Keep the good work, lots of good knowledgeable people here.

Thanks

Alex

8.0 mm is the Nissan OEM size, but 5/16"(7.9mm) from auto zone will work also. Just be sure to get high pressure fuel injection hoses.
FWIW, I believe the Nissan OEM fuel injection hose last the longest.

@itsa300zx,
Thanks a bunch buddy :dblthumb:
Yes indeed, Autozone had told me they have them too, but the lady there never mention high pressure fuel injection hoses...
Any ways, on my way to either one...

Thanks again...

Alex

I would recommend OEM fuel injection hoses only from whatever source gets them to you fastest, and to stay away from any Autozone or otherwise crap as it doesn't fit correctly (leaks under very high pressure Nissan uses) nor last very long...beyond the complete lack of Z32 knowledge that you will find in most of these types of shops.
Also only use the OEM hose clamps or upgraded ones as the normal style will crush grooves into the hose casing and reduce the life of them, as well as increase leaking potential because they will loosen every year.
The Z32 does NOT respond or last well on USA-built crap, you will be best off to use OEM or better or you will NOT be happy, or on the road often...my 13 years of Z32 ownership has proven this beyond a doubt.
