The hood on my 1993 NA is an after market fiberglass thing - it's ok I guess.

BUT:

I can not make it align properly at the front. It closes, and latches, but not far enough down to look proper. The hood latch goes into the working latch mechanism, and makes it work, and it closes. But the front of the hood is still riding too high - about 1" above the fenders in the front - but flush at the back.

Is there an adjustment on the front latch mechanism to change the height?

If your car has been jacked up improperly by the front radiator support it will cause it to bend up. This is somewhat common

Nothing surpises me anymore on this car, so let's assume that what you say is correct.

Is there a way to remedy that?

What about drilling out the mounting holes (elongating them) so that we can lower the latch assembly?

I tried that a couple weeks back on mine and it didn't help much due to the fact that the latch assembly will hit the support for the radiator. But it helped a little. Mine was up about a .25 inch, now about half that.

Thought about lowering the radiator support but don't think that's a good idea. I wonder if a new latch would fix it.

However that method on the hatch worked pretty good. Now it shuts tight and I can use the lever inside.
