I was looking at my motor the other day and laid down to look at the exhaust ports(the manifold and turbo arent on) and noticed HKS is stamped in the gasket. I believe its 1.2mm. This must be kinda rare, cuz I havent seen one for the CA. Also, what would this make my effective compression?

I was thinking around 8.0-8.2:1 compression. MORE BOOST! I havent taken off the head but Im kinda curious what kind of internals are in it. It also has a HKS Intake Cam so........we'll see.

ummm 1.2mm is the stock headgasket size... You never want to alter the compression through the headgasket as it messes up the quench area in the combustion chamber.

1.2mm should be around stock or somewhere 9ish compression with stock piston.

there is no way in world 8ihs compression.

HKS still makes gasket for CA . I juts bought one for my freind

Stock compression is 8.5:1. Stock headgasket thickness is 1.2mm. Therefore the compression should still be 8.5:1.

the quench area does nothing at stock anyway as the clearance is too big

okay, well I thought it was 1 mm, but anyways, it was a rough estimate on how thick it was, but I guess I was right. I dont plan on rebuilding it yet, just gonna drop it in the car and see how it does. Ill post pics when I get the motor cleaned up and parts put on. Get the Ka out....
