I have a question about your initial statement Tim.
What's so wrong with batch fired injectors?
It has A LOT of merit to it, and the only drawback is emmisions. Considering how illegal it is to have this motor in your car in the first place, and that I seriously doubt you swapped in this motor for fuel economy or emmsions, I doubt that it's of great concern to you.
Batch firing injectors is a very simple way of doing it and works VERY well at high rpm/boost. The PROBLEM with true sequential injection is that you have CONSIDERABLY less time during each cycle to inject fuel. To overcome this you have to use larger injectors. Now with larger injectors you have to deal with idle problems. And, as I think you know, Nissan's ECCS system doesn't batch fire the injectors all the time. Only at high rpm/high load situations. Batch firing works, and it works well.
Just my $.02....
