was wondering what people thought of this. im really wanting something that will get rid of my car's retarded batch fire fuel injection. every time it goes into batch fire my car freaking breaks and ive had way more than enough of it. does anyone know if this will get me a true sequential fuel injection setup? i dont have all that much time and money so being a piggyback this system would take me a whole 5 minutes to install. only problem is that it has to be tuned by an HKS dealer but that doesnt concern me at all.

saw the one on ebay eh? haha I love how people post on here asking questions about products (turbos, ecus, bovs, etc...) trying to sound vague and don't mention that they saw it on ebay. I think its a wonderful ECU tim, but tuning might be a pain in the butt. my .02

Fcon V controls fuel and timing (pfc Fcon only controls fuel, according to HKS). I don't think it can convert the type of fuel injection though, its still just a ROM tuned piggyback, albeit one with a very large map. Call up an HKS dealer or HKS and ask... they prolly know for sure.

haha, yeah. its totally on ebay. i really cant argue with $250 buy it now. anyway, i see that the fcon V pro changes the injection setup to whatever you want but i cant find it for the regular fcon.

might just get a megasquirt for like, 100 bucks and have a bada$s stand alone.

Haha I am the one who bought that thing. I just sold some extra crap that I had around and figured I would give it a try. Our shop should be getting the tuning software soon so I will let everyone know how tuning goes.

BTW the Fcon V PRO is a standalone (at least afaik, I think its like power FC), not a piggyback, so its a bit different than the Fcon V.

FConV is fuel onlyFConV Pro is basically a standalone that uses the factory harness.I don't like having to have a shop tune my stuff so I would get a SAFC or a real standalone system. Just my $.02

Fcon V does timing too, check the HKS website.PFC F con only does fuel and is no longer made.V PRO is standalone. I've said all this already.I don't know anything about the above products except what HKS's website says.Even with an SAFC or standalone you need a wideband and a dyno to tune it, if its gotta be strapped down at someone's shop, IMO they can go ahead and tune it.

I have a question about your initial statement Tim.

What's so wrong with batch fired injectors?

It has A LOT of merit to it, and the only drawback is emmisions. Considering how illegal it is to have this motor in your car in the first place, and that I seriously doubt you swapped in this motor for fuel economy or emmsions, I doubt that it's of great concern to you.

Batch firing injectors is a very simple way of doing it and works VERY well at high rpm/boost. The PROBLEM with true sequential injection is that you have CONSIDERABLY less time during each cycle to inject fuel. To overcome this you have to use larger injectors. Now with larger injectors you have to deal with idle problems. And, as I think you know, Nissan's ECCS system doesn't batch fire the injectors all the time. Only at high rpm/high load situations. Batch firing works, and it works well.

Just my $.02....
