Hi all,

I recently bought my third Z32 (1991 300ZX tt) and for the first time I have an issue where I don't even know where to start.

Yesterday while driving I was nearly sideswiped by a moron changing lanes without using their mirrors. I swerved out of my lane to keep from getting hit but in doing so I hit the biggest pothole I've ever seen in my life (ok, that may be an exaggeration, but definitely the biggest pothole I've ever hit in a Z). From that moment three things in my car have changed.

1) There is an extreme shutter anytime you are driving 55+mph. I assume this is going to be wheel balance, and maybe even wheel alignment. It sucks, but no biggie.

2) (The reason I'm posting) I don't have any air coming out of the vents. I can hear the air (ie: the blower is working) but I can't feel any air coming out of any of the top vents or by the feet. My only guess is that there is a tube or something that was knocked off and needs to be reconnected, but I don't even know where to start looking for that.

3) I'm not 100% sure this is related, but also the first time this has happened, after I got home I was going to take the wife for a spin but when I first started the car it didn't hold idle and died. I tried starting again, this time giving the car a bit of gas, and she started up. Does this sound like it may be related? Maybe an electrical connector came off?

I hope someone can help me out here, I hate taking my car to the shop... Thanks in advance.

we help those who help themselves.
first get under the car and look for what's broken. you cant miss it. intake tubes are pretty big and there will be lots of scraping.
next, jump the relevant pins on the consult port to display the error codes.
https://z32.wikispaces.com/ECU+Diagnostics

report back with error codes and pictures of what got damaged.

my guess is that your intake tubes for the engine and blower are damaged.

No errors codes. Drove to dinner now stranded in parking lot. Car tries to turn over but nada. I'm guessing it is either fuel or spark but still have no clue what is wrong. Any thoughts greatly appreciated. Waiting on AAA...

Right side or left? Did the battery move?

Update: the tow truck driver showed up so of course my Z decided to startup...

I think I'm just going to park her in the garage and do an overhaul (documented on here of course) Im thinking title "Make my Z great again!".

I understand the car is 26 years old and that these things are going to happen; but i would rather just go in and replace out as much as I can with new parts so I have a reliable weekend speedster.

That's for the information that was shared already, that ecu consult port walkthrough is pretty cool and no doubt will be useful over the next few weeks. Thanks everyone.
