High Water Stall Out _ Engine won't start

I got stuck in a rainstorm and went through some high water and the engine stalled out. It won't start. The key warning light is on. The dome lights work and that is about it; and the center brake light. Ignition light come on. Will it dry out or will something have to be done? This was about 4-5 hours ago.Gordo

doesnt sound good.it could be hydro lock

open up the airbox and see if there is water under the filter, if not it's electrical and not hydro-locked....

what u doing in the water the A/C isnt a flotation device

Ok.. The 250 Amp fuse on the battery to one of the computers was fried, that's why there was no lights and stuff. I shorted that out and I had electricity but the starter just clicked.Called the insurance company ..... More than likely it will be a total loss due to the water damage under the hood.That's the last time I go "Altima Surfing!" ::GLUB GLUB::

UPDATE: It's considered a total. Indiana law states that water up to the rocker panels is considered a total loss. Bummer...water didn't even get in the cockpit. Haven't gotten all the details yet ... or the payoff.
