I can't find a store that sells high performance camshafts for the G35. Also, when i accelerate in my car, I hear a nice exhaust drone, but it quiets way down once I get to a certain speed, is there something I can do to alter the muffler/exhaust to keep that nice rumble there all the time? Also, is there a place I can get a new cover for my headlights? They are beginning to fog over, but arent that bad. I don't want to buy a whole new headlight unit though. And ONE more thing, when I go to my CD mode on my stereo, it says: "CD ERR FO", has anyone gotten that before? If so, whatd you do to fix it? Or, what am I doing wrong to make that happen?

Well there are plenty of high performance camshafts available, but be forewarned they are in the 1100 dollar range. You can find some on the sponsors websites, such as everythingg35.com, and you can also locate some more on bulletproofautomotive.com. As for the exhaust noise, you would just be better off getting an exhaust system, and they are going for around 1k to 1.6k for one. Some are around 800 bucks or so. The cd error, you are on your own,but we have some very good infiniti techs on here,so just wait and I'm sure one will get to it.

I put the Magna-Flow cat-back exhaust on my G, and absolutely love the sound. Kind of partial to Magna-Flow, Had them on Two of my previous other cars. Tend to be a few bucks cheaper I Paid $650.00

Also, is there a place I can get a new cover for my headlights? Mine were doing the same and I used my buffer on them, when i was waxing my car. Cleared them right up.

Don't remember where I bought the buffer from bought it years ago. Wal-Mart sells them, Advance Auto. Nothing special just a 6 1/2 Buffer, the type you wax your car with.

yea i hear those are insane, but im lookin to spend only 3 figures on an exhaust upgrade as I am only 17 years old haha and dont have the biggest budget , so is this a high quality system? http://www.g35parts.com/9083/o...d=397

so i have come to the conclusion that a high performance camshaft on these cars would not be worth buying because they cost so much, and the ccamshafts in them are already nice

From magazines that tested different systems, the Stillen exhaust made the most power and had the broadest increase as well. The Borla is also crippled by being made up of so many pieces. Installing such an exhaust can take some time to not only put the pieces together under the car, but also line up so that it fits nicely.

If you look at a big enough pic, you'll see all the pieces don't use flanges. They use somekind of clamping system with perhaps a slip fit. Minor misalignments can easily cause poor placement, perhaps even causing the exhaust system to interfere or bind against other parts.

Here's a link to the pic of the Borla btw:
