I am looking for anybody who has replaced the stock alt with a HO one on a 4th gen maxima. I have only found one place called Ohio Generator who has one. I am not apposed to making custom brackets and using a different alt hopefully someone has done this and can point me in the right direction.

I don't know of anyone who actually has done that. You may be able to take yours in to an alternator/generator repair shop and have them do it up for you.

I have talked to about 10 different shops in my area and they all say the same thing that they can't get parts for them. There are two places that I have found Ohio Generator and H.O. Alternator they have a direct bolt on that produces 190 amps but they want $650 for it.

Why do you need such a high output alternator? If you have that much of a power draw from a monster system, get an extra battery or two, and an isolator so that the one that powers the engine stays charged. Then one, or a few 1 farad capacitors. That should keep life to the system and car, as well as not dimming your lights when you bump the bass.

Welcome to NICO!

How many amps is your system pushing? I've read numerous posts from people running 1K watts on a stock alternator and an under drive pulley.

Right know I am running a JL 500/1 and an old school Lanzar 800.2 but I will be replacing the 500/1 with two BLK3D's that pull 110 amps a piece and then that will eventually be replaced with a 4000D. So I want to build everything as bullet proof as I can and I will be running an extra batt in the back. The way it is set up know I have a 1 fared cap with no problems but the 500/1 only puts out about 900 rms.
