New here. I've got a '77 Datsun 620 that I bought from the original owner's wife after he died...

It had 73K orginal miles when I got it. I drove it for about two years when the original heater hose burst and I was unable to get off the road before the head gasket blew! I let it sit for a month or so before getting to fixing it, but by then the water that had gotten into #4 cylinder had begun to rust the walls. Other than that though the motor looked great! I got into the "while I'm at it" mode and have now got a little bit of a sleeper...

Engine specs:L20b block bored .040 and completely polished and radiusedForged JE dome pistonslightened, race prepped longer rodsARP bolts everywhereBalanced blueprinted...U67 head, modified combustion chabers, heavily ported.540 lift/290 duration custom ground camIsky valve springs, titanium retainersCustom ported intake44mm SU's/K&N air cleanerscomputer controlled EDIS crank fired ignition w/MAP sensorwideband O2 sensor w/Lc-1 controller that talks to the ignition Custom built fuel rail250 GPH fuel pump

Brakes:Large slotted cross drilled rotor up front W/large calipersOriginal Drums in rear (disks coming soon!)

Interior:Mostly stock'78 280Z seatsIzumi steering wheelShort throw shifter w/leather shift boot280Zx carpet floor mats...

Basically a stock looking truck on the exterior other than the wheels!

Thanks for looking!

BTW these are somewhat old pics...the engine bay is a little cleaner now! It was still unfinished at the time of the pics and I guess it probably always will be...

Thanks For looking!!

Thanks! Sorry for the old pics though. It looks a lot better now, but I am still working on getting everything buttoned up and in it's place. There were a LOT of loose ends in those pics...

What did you use for your ignition? I see the distributor is all unhooked.

Thanks for the welcome!

The ignition is a MegaJolt kit that I built using EDIS components from a ford Escort. It is fully programable and VERY acurate. It also has many user inputs and functions that are helpful. I set it to detect an extreme lean condition via the wideband O2 sensor and drop the timing dramatically to keep the 11.2:1 compression engine from self destructing! I am very happy with it!
