I got an old school Apexi AVC-R boost controller with "volume," "mode" and "power" button on the front, and a digital display (not one of the newer ones with the light up bars). It has 2 wires that go to the boost control solenoid, two that are black and red (power and ground I assume) and one that is green. does anyone know what to took it to? tach signal?

I had one, just did the power and ground. No clue what the green one would be for. tach signal would be a good idea to try out. Did you check Apex'i USA's website yet?

ahh I know what it is now, the guy I got it from in japan found japanese instructions and the wiring is the same as the newer one so he sent me english for the newer one, the green wire taps injector duty cycle, the unit won't let the boost rise if injector duty goes over like 98.9%.Thats pretty cool... glad to know apex'i has my back.

The stock ECU has an output for duty cycle? I assume it's on the diagnostic port?
