Aloha Folks.

I'm currently scoping out the dealer for my 1st. G35. I'm sold on it, and I'm pumped to finally be getting one!

I am looking at the colors, and am looking for some input from those of you that have the car. I love the Black - I think that color is amazing! Problem is - I'm in Buffalo NY. This means Snow, Salt, and lots of it. I've never owned a black car but from what I understand they look like hell in the winter, and they're impossible to keep clean.

With that said, I'm also looking at the pearl/ivory colored car. I like that a lot - not quite as much as the black, but I still like it.

I'll go with that if the feedback I get here is that the black is going to look like crap here in Western NY in the snow/salt 8 months out of the year... Looking for feedback! Thanks

Black is definitely hard to keep clean. I dont know much about the salt and snow but I think a lighter color would appear cleaner than a darker.

Light colors definitely show dirt less. That said, you want to get a color you really like. I have the Lakeshore blue and salt and dirt are very noticable on it.

ours are graphite grey and they don't show dirt very badly. Don't know about salt I have seen salt covered cars moving thru the state heading south before....and they all looked pretty nasty regardless of color. Great choice!!! And you should be PUMPED! WE love ours!!!

Aloha Kahunaman, I just picked up a G35s in the Blue Slate which is a cool color. But where you live, the dark colors are a ***** to take care of. I had a pearl white FX35 which was easy to take care of, but not the most exciting color. Just got to go with the color you have the time to take care of. Stay warm. Aloha, h2mann

I live in NY. I have had many different cars or diferent colors. The black is by far the worst. I will never own a black car again. Silver was the best for hiding dirt. This time around I went with Blue Slate. I loved the color and although it will probably be a pain to keep clean, I went for it anyway.

Had black car and I'll never go back to it, swirls were obvious from the first wash, and dirt always sticks out . I went for the Platinum Silver this time around.

Welcome to NICO!!

Your gonna be pumped for months even after you get this car so get used to it!!

I had a black Maxima before my G. It was my first and LAST black car. They look so amazing for that 1 day out of the week before they get dirty again. Plus I am in Toronto so I know all about the salt and snow. I swear to you every little swirl or scratch will frustrate you and break your heart. No matter how careful you are...it's gonna happen I say go Grey or Pearl with some nice tints (on the Pearl)I'm not big on tints for Grey cars...just my thoughts.

Let us know what you decide!!
