hey guys.just bought a Faze 50mm 30hg and 30psi boost gauge and was wondering if i could get some help with the install. i can't find a T-Fitting that will hook up to the tubing included in the kit (didn't come with one) but there is a whole bunch of different size fittings to screw into places on the "Vacuum Source". i was thinking of removing the PCV Valve on the manifold and tapping it in there and putting a Air Breather on the Rocker cover where it would usually hookup. can anybody tell me if this would lead to any bad things going wrong or anything? Thanks guys

Zak

t off the fpr. ONLY FOR A gauge! I have seen people plug like 4 things into the FPR reference hose, dame! A gauge won't cause any trouble.

i dont have nor can i find a T-Fitting the size of the hose for my boost gauge to tap into the FPR. the hose is "REALLY" small. the install kit gave me a bunch of "screw" like fittings to tap into the manifold it looks like.thats why im wondering if i can delete the PCV Valve and just use that tap to use for my boost gauge?

Just go out and get a small t fitting, as TMS said. Its the easiest and simplest solution. i just took mine off the KA.

worst case scenario you have to go to autozone and spend a dollar and buy one.

And deleting the PCV isn't the brightest idea.

the thing is i CANNOT find a t-fitting small enough for the hose that came with my boost gauge, as stated in my LAST post. and i've done a little reading and the only thing the PCV Valve does it put blow-by gas back into the intake manifold. how is that good to have going into your motor?

I'm guessing that your boost gauge hardware came with 1/8" vinyl tubing?? It's quite simple. You can go out and get windshield washer hose (autozone). They're like 1/4" or something. That 1/8" vinyl tubing will actually squeeze inside the 1/4" rubber hose. I KNOW you can find 1/4" fittings anywhere

Not to thread jack, but would it be a bad idea to have a BOV and boost gauge on the same vac source (just those 2)?

I tee'd my bov from my brake booster. My pulasr had a Tee already but had a screw in the extra spot. So i took the screw out and ran a line from the bov there. bov like direct, powerful vaccum sources.

Hows the exa/pulsarnx coming?what kinda clutch are you using??
