It seems to be such a new turbo that I cant find compressor maps for it either :( What does team NICO think of this new badboy? http://store.yahoo.com/cheaptu....html

"The Big Kahuna" lol. Love the name, but I think I'd rather get that GT30. hmmm.....:ylsuper

Easy...a 1985 IROC can pull .92 G's, and run the 1/4 quicker than a 240. Check out the first on the list: http://sethirdgen.org/performance.htm Stock 240's reportedly pull ~.89 G's on a skidpad and we all know it's RARE to get one that runs in the low 15's.

Tell me how if it sticks to the road better, AND has more power it wont outhandle a 240? It's almost close enough to be up to the driver...but still, dont be so close minded. Just because it has a solid rear axle doesn't mean it cant handle on par with a soft-suspensioned, understeering, underpowered stock 240 :)

Stock for Stock, the Camaro is pretty good. Put some tires that are of at least the same compund and the 240 is going to start putting out much better handling numbers.

That .92 for a 85 trans am doesnt seem right it looks like a typothe 87 has .85, the 88 is .82, there all in the .8 's but thats grip the camaro/firebird had wider tires (and probably better tires) on it and thats on a 200ft or 400ft skidpad, show me some Slalom times

I couldn't find good ones for both camaros AND early 240's :( I don't think the IROC having better handling was an anomoly though...I think it had a better suspension. I'd have to do entirely too much research to figure it out though :)

Yeah, I saw that...it's similar in acceleration with just a bit of an edge. More proof that that 305 is craptastic. My whole point was just that you made a bit too much of a blanket statement, some Camaros (especially modified) can hold their own in handling. I didn't mean to start a big argument or anything...this thread is WAY off track now :D
