ok, i remember hearing something about needing a special tool to get the rear pistons to retract in a 1995 240sx non abs non 5-lug. is this true? i cant get them to go back in and my car is kinda no-go for launch if i dont get them in. can i just use a regular c-clamp to push them back in? i tried once and it wasnt working so please someone help!!

No c-clamp, and search,,,

Turn them to make them go in with either needle nose piers or a tool resemblimg a box with knobs on it made just for these types of brakes. I use both depending, and the tool can be found at any major autoparts chain for a few bucks.

Yes you need a special tool that fits in the grooves. You can't simply force them straight back in with a c-clamp, but you have to twist them in the process. You can probably find the tool at your local sears or napa for about 10 bucks.

It can be doen without the tool by using a set of needle-nose pliers or something of that sort, but you can easily mangle the piston. I recommend snagging the tool.

Good luck!

I find needle nose easier at times.

When I replaced my rotors/pads I ran into problems with one of the rear calipers. The piston somehow got jammed or something...made me think twice about working on the car agani! lol
