so my car is always reving at 2k my mechanic told me it was the tps so i replaced it but it still revs 1.5k or 2k. i've notice that 1 of the cable pulleys gets stuck and thats whats causing it its the one in the right (standing in front of the car) so my question is how can i fix this new throttle cables? new cable pulleys? please help cuz this is making me get really bad MPGs right now and i wanna fix it. thanks guys

Check and see if the throttle parts are rubbing on the tubes that come out at the front of the valve cover (part of the PCV circuit). Often they come loose and protrude causing the throttle to rub on them and stick.The TPS won't cause hi-idle but a few other things such as vacuum leak, Air Reg stuck open, AAC set incorrectly, etc will.
