i don't know what you meant but if you are referring to keeping the stock hood, i agree.

YESIMAZN- if you must have CF then go with the OEM style and paint it to match the car... the VT will keep everything under the hood extremely dirty for you

Agreed. A buddy of mine has that VT style on his zee...you can blow $600 on something better than a carb0n FIb3R TytE y0 hood.

THe stock bonnet is already as light as can be!!!

yes yes a buddy does. but there's also a bunch of other goodies lurking under that hood. i've don't recall the weight of the z's hood. though the forty is some poundage. and we've got a peekchure. even though i say oem, this is the aforementioned z.

excuse me? how is THAT possible? there's no such thing. unless you tint your windows red and paint your wheels and tires red, i suppose... a cheaper solution would be to paint your hood orange. see, you don't need a new hood to get rid of the red. or even cheaper, just sand it down!

A carbon fiber hood on a red car would look really nice in my opinion and will do what you expect it to do. It will reduce the redness of your car. lol sounds like a pimple.

My vote actually goes for the vented one. As long as there are no issues with water dripping on to the engine. It really depends on your style. the OEM looks soO...OEM. Eiether hood your Z will looks awesome Please post a pic when you are done.

get the carbon fiber stillen hood then you have the option of the stillen SC later on! Yeah CF and red look good, make sure you put some black wheels and CF eyelids though

The vented hood is not my style, at all.

Personally I would paint it to match, but if you like the CF look, and it's done well, it *can* look alright.

I had the Seibon OEM CF hood on my last car. IMO it's leaning towards ricey but if you are going to do it I would definitely go OEM. It would probably look good on the red car with some gunmetal wheels and a CF front lip.

Ya cf front lip FTW!

As for the hood you have on the car now, are you selling it? Because I need a new hood.

too red? i'm rather confused, cause i've seen red z's and red cars before. none really seem too red. i mean. imho a red car is already too fuggin red. i don't like it on any, sides ferrairi maybe. but no, i would really go oem and paint it. carbon hoods are just, played out. less you get the hatch to match.

I kinda like the VT carbon hood but the car needs a body kit and wheels to finish it off. Could get expensive. I have seen the carbon hood in person I like it but I heard it fades in the sun. I dont know that for sure maybe someone reading can correct me if they know for sure. Good luck never the less.

what about other hoods? are there other non-OEM CF hoods other than that one you'd consider?

I would stick with a brand name for a CF hood. I know Seibon is good from experience. I would stay away from VIS Racing and offbrands. If you get a cheap hood you are bound to have problems with fitment, flaws in the CF, chips, etc. but mainly fitment issues.

I like the stock hood , but since i'm doing my bodykit project i decided to go with this one.

i think they look great with body kits , other than that if you are they complete stock and just changing the hood them i would stay stock.

good luck.
