help maybe a fuel pump

does this sound like a fuel pump to you the car cranks and cranks finally starts then will run for like 20 seconds or more and die like its out of gas but it has a full tank and if you give it gas it is like its out of gas and another question is that were i took the canister of the front of the car there were 2 lines going into the bottom of it which one do i turn down and what do i do with the other one

Well considering that it does start but it just takes awhile your pump may be bad but for cheapnesses sake check/replace the fuel filter first.

And don't cheap out and buy a fram fuel filter. I had TERRIBLE hesitation problems in my car because the fram was choking fuel flow. Get the 300zx TT fuel filter.
