The only thing worse than a crappy product is pretending it isn't crappy.
The only thing worse than spouting pages of opinionated crap is pretending it's fact and not opinion. We all know what orifice crap comes out of, and, like opinions, everybody has one.

Opinion and fact often overlap.

It's my opinion that Camries are boring and cheap.
It's fact that a new Mitsubishi Mirage is the worst new car you can buy in the US today.

In between these two lies the terribleness of JATCO CVTs and Nissan transmission controls.

In your wisdom, I'm certain you're familiar with what Mark Twain said about arguments and onlookers. I think most of the onlookers here would know the difference, but you'll forgive me if I revert to, "No comment."

Add me to the list.
Bought a new Mazda 6 three years ago, and still love it.
It's a fully loaded GT with tech and premium package, and looks and drives better than most cars that cost 10K more (looking at you BMW).
The interior is as nice as any "premium" car, and better than most.
So far it has been utterly reliable, but then again, I haven't put a lot of miles on it.
It's not a drag racer, but the 2.5L N/A engine is more than adequate, along with a rock solid 6 speed auto transmission.
Throttle response is excellent too, unlike a lot of cars equipped with turbo's.
My son has a 2017 BMW X1, and my Mazda is a better car all around. Better interior, better ergonomics, better features, better response and handling.
It should be on your list if you're considering an Altima or heaven forbid, a Sentra.

^ That would be awesome. Talk about a rarity...

I've found two in the past several years, both owners told me the same thing when approached: "Don't even ask, it's not for sale."

:)

I just missed a perfect one FS for low price due to hi milage but low price and perfect equipment and colors.. Missed it by 1 day.. sigh..

PS: Also just test drove a 2015 Q40 (aka G37) yesterday.
Wow that thing is a rocket!
All responses were sharp and visceral.
I felt in total control.
body was in perfect shape.. but the interior was all scratched up so I didn't pull the trigger.

CT?

Wouldn't it be loaded with rust? Maybe I'm spoiled living in AZ, but I'd rather find a dry weather car and pay $500-$1000 to ship it to my door.
Well.. it's currently one of only 3-4 V8 4WD LEs for sale in the country... at least among cars.com, autotrader.com and cargurus.
There is one closer to me in Philly much lower miles too.. but no pics yet i emailed them.
Still, it seems silly to buy a car from Rustville when you can have one shipped from a dry climate for less than $1000.

If I can't turn a control arm bolt with a 12" ratchet, I pass on the car. Rust is insidious and gross.

Oddly, people who live in rust states seem to overlook it like it's no big deal. I've never comprehended it. It's like continuing to go to Mass after being molested and pretending it's all ok.

The rarity of 5.6 Pathfinders is only compounded by the reluctance of their owners to sell.

I cant find many, from a rust free climate. It being a 4WD SUV inventory will be heavily biased to the rust states... :(

True enough..
I just love the idea of being in a super tough vehicle as the F platform Nissan SUVs are.
(Even the R52 is growing on me.. some smashing deals there to be had ... also I believe 100% what our resident transmission expert is saying about the post-'17 CVTs in them, I have pored of the statistics and few if any complaints on those transmissions '17 model year and up)

I also must admit it was fun being in a quick and response sedan again, that Q40 kinda impressed me even though it shouldn't (since I know all the G37 specs by heart).. that benign sheetmetal hides a 4DSC.
Ultimately once I know where I am working it will enable me to make a better call, knowing my commute distances etc.

I test drove one and was about to pull the trigger on one back in February as the replacement of my totaled 2016 Rogue. My brother really liked that vehicle alot, and I was really impressed by Mazda.

I can't think of anyone who has disliked their Mazda 6. Such a fantastic and simple car. Where it lacks in power, it makes it up everywhere else in handling, driving joy, and build quality. Plus you can get it with a turbo now as well, so that helps make up the power issue a little now.

Got a chance last Wednesday to drive an '18 that was on the trade-in lot. I must say, I was impressed. Nice amenities, nice handling, very solid feel.

Flying out tomorrow morning a few states away to pick up my car and drive it back to Virginia.
All I will say about it is that is a relatively large vehicle and that the color is a sinister looking dark grey.
It has almost 160,000 miles and so it is inexpensive.. but looks in fantastic shape compared to some of the near wrecks I saw FS here in Virginia.
I could have had a southern car with 24,000 miles less for almost same money, but I did not want a black car as long as I had a chance at that sweet Nissan Dark Grey.

It matches my Xterra's color, there it's called "NightShadow".
Interior is charcoal leather.

Details once I actually have the vehicle..
