Hello. mod questions...

Hello. first time on this board and I have a few questions maybe someone can answer. I have a 2009 base model Sentra, no extras. And I can never get a complete answer from Nissan regarding whether or not I can do a few cosmetic mods that usually come in the more expensive packages.

1. Can I get a lock for my glove box, maybe even an internal light for it?

2. Can I buy just the fog light assemblies, do I need to buy a bumper replacement or can I knock out the molding in the fog light placements?

and...

How hard would it be to just replace the combo switch so the car looks OEM rather than me putting some goofy switch below the dash for the fog lights?

3. Is there a part number for the trunk lid inside trim?

4. Now this one's a biggie... does the 2010 model navigation system work in a 2009 navigation?

5. What about the keyless remote trunk release? Does the relay for the ignition/transponder disable need to be replaced so that I can get an output to the trunk? do I need to get a solenoid or is there one installed already or does Nissan have a part number for that too?

Someone please help, I'm tired of the run around with Nissan. Thanks

I can answer some of the questions or at least give some other options, others I simply don't know!!!......

Not sure about the lock but if someone broke into your car, the glove box lock is surely not going to stop them . As for the glove box light, I am going to fabricate my own with some LEDs, I already have a switch on my console that I tied in to my interior lights and footwell lighting so I'll wire it up to that when I get to it. Those same lights also come on when I open any door2. Can I buy just the fog light assemblies, do I need to buy a bumper replacement or can I knock out the molding in the fog light placements?

If you have the fog light cutouts (the round plastic piece inside the holes) then you can just buy the OEM lights, they should come with some brackets to mount the lights inside the bumper and yes you will have to cut out the inside pieces

It's very easy to replace the light switch with the one that has the foglight button

Not sure if this is the part number but it must be available. Check this and see if it's what you're looking for - [84900M] FINISHER-TRUNK LID

Don't have the NAV system so someone else might be able to help you on that.

It's probably doable but a lot of work and creativity
