i've had my v for 2 weeks now and i've noticed that, when i am using the heater, the heat is noticably less hot when the engine is idling. it happens when the car is warmed up too (well, i *think* it is warmed up...the little blue light is off).

has anyone else noticed this? is it normal?

I haven't had this problem. If anything my heater works TO well. I can't turn it up more than half (on the heat side) or I start sweating like a pedoph:le in Toys 'R Us.

have them look at your blower motor for your heater... mine started to do that then it went out...

thanks for the input. i took it to the dealer and they verified the problem, said it was an air bubble (which was my suspicion after doing research) and said they fixed it.

they reported that it is now blowing 120 degrees at fan levels 1 & 2 and 110 at levels 3 & 4.

should there be a difference?? it still seems really weak. is this just something i need to learn to live with??

(thanks in advance for any input)

Haven't used the heater in a few weeks but mine worked like it should up till then. We only got to -4F this winter so I didn't get to use it in real cold weather.

I think that it got down to about 25 F while I was in Utah once this winter, and that was plenty cold...

(just for the record, in case anyone else runs into this problem)

a week ago i took it into a dealer close to work. they thought it was an air bubble (which i sort of expected it to be) so they bled the system.

i drove off cheerfully and then noticed the next morning that there was only sort of heat on the freeway and none at idle.

today i took it back to the dealer i bought it from (at least they gave me a loaner car). the guy just called to say that they thought they had had it fixed but then ran it for awhile and the heat went away. they have no idea what is causing it. he said that they have to call nissan for ideas, but they can't do that until next tuesday (for reasons which are unclear to me.)

at least i have a car to drive, but a sentra ain't a versa.

wahhhhhh!
