Ok so to start I have an issue with the pins in the multifunction switch for the lights not making proper contact. I fixed that all head lights worked. Well the issue started again but before I have a chance to tear into it one morning on my way to work I flicked my high beams on and instead of them coming on and staying on the lights died all together and wont flip back down either. To add further mystery to it my interior lights that did not work before work and my in dash clock works. I thought maybe the multifunction switch or the relay or the sensor behind the relay box. a long shot that both bulbs blew at the same time but that wouldn't explain the lights not flipping back down though I don't think. Any help would be a god send. oh my 300zx is a 1986 if that adds any help. Thanks so much for the read though

This should be in the Z31 section.

From what I can tell, it sounds like loose wire(s) and/or bad fuses. Electrical issues can be hard to track down, pull out an electrical diagram from a service manual or such and trace the circuits.
