having problem with kade...

Information on the naturally-aspirated KA24E and KA24DE engines.

hello, nico memebers

i have a situation going on with my s13 kade motor. i just recently replaced a kade with another one. the motor turns over stays on, but when i give it throttle it would stumble and die. i checked all over for vacumm leaks. i messed around with the iaa screw then, afterwards i would give it throttle and it would just bog, like it was gonna shut down, loss of power i guess but wouldnt shut down. i checked the with multiples maf the first one is was that, but the second one was ok.

then i checked the tps, moved it around did some help not much, then disconnected it the car would shut down when idle. so i know its not that.

im out of ideas. i have no clue what it could be. i mean the car idles, but when given throttle it just boggs. im like wtf!!!!

can some one please help me out?? thank you.

check the fuel lines and ecu wiring again.....maybe it could be u installed a A/T transmission or 5 spd?

when the car is on...disconnect one injector plug and see if there any difference in tone ...I.E> does the engine react worst or better or nothing...un plug one and the re plug it and unplg the next do same etc etc

how is ur timing...want wanna also do airleak test ...u might have a loose vacumm hose or a torn one that needs replacing or plugging

if done that test with the injectors. and when i pull the plug it does change tone.

would the timing affect it. i did set it to -20btdc like the fsm says. i checked all the air lines before swaping it in. so i dont think would be that.

the car is a 5 spd. would the tps sensor affect it. i think the motor i got was an auto. but not sure. but regardless would it affect it and make it act liek it is??

so it does change tone...that tells me ur injectors are firing correctly and that there good...

hmmm...still double and tripple check ur vacumms, something might be loose or needs tightening...or even cut open...

get some carb cleaner, turn the car on, start spraying around the intake manifold...anywere that something connects to something else sprits it...if u hear change in tone of the engine when u spray a certain section...uve found ur air leak

worst case scenario...knock sensor

yeah i ran codes and that code i thing is cod34 didnt come out. i keep getting code 55 which means good. but yes im going to try that carb cleaner on the manifold to see if theres any leaks.
