I have thought about getting some aluminum or steel piping to make a DIY intake for my Versa (nothing ghetto) something that looks professional. The tricky thing is the MAF is build into the airbox itself.

Has anyone tried to make there own intake yet?

Have you seen how AEM and Fujita do it? If you're good enough with the materials to make a good intake on your own then copying how they deal with the sensor shouldn't be too hard for you.
