find the torque curves.

I bet you those civics are much more at home in the hi-revs. Last I drove a newer Sentra they weren't so peppy after 70-80. That was an 03, but does not look like much has changed?

Torque curve or gearing. I think more gearing then torque curve but no data so can't say.

And of course some people will say it's just you. Put your flame proof underwear on.

THe Spec is quicker in the Quarter mile by like 2 tenths of a second anything beyond that the Si is gonna pass you. Civics in general are geared for high end power hence the Jekyll and Hyde personality of the motors. Sluggish in city Traffic but screams at past 6k all the way to nearly 8K (the SI). The 07 Spec runs out of Omph at about 6.5K Rpms. Then there is the weight Difference. Hope this is Track Racing your doin.......

I think you can excuse Nissan for giving you usable power that also makes daily driving easier.

I'm a torque over peak power kind of guy. Of course, I have an SR, so all the fun I get in my car is between 2500 and 6000 rpm, so I'm coming from the weirdo midrange power perspective anyway. I miss turbo goodness .
