Hello i need help. So this is my information about my car so i bought a 1991 nissan 300zx 2+2 twin turbo when i boguht the car all the dash lights and everything turned on. I decided to change the specialty efi harness and the main connector broke when i put it through the firewall but i glued it back together but i dont know if it was glued well. Well now nothing turns on my question is could the harness make no dash lights or anything turn on? Help me please!!!

Are you talking about the large ECU connector? Some one changed engines in that car and if it was not done correctly and you put in another part there could be a compatibility issue for sure. I would try to reinstall the old harness to see if it works again. If it involves the injectors only remember that there is always 12 v going to them even when the key is removed so yes a bad connector could cause electrical problems.

the ECU connector is made of very tough plastic. good effort. the connector is bolted down. did you bolt it into the ecu? it wont make contact if you dont tighten that 10mm bolt. it's probably a good idea to replace the ECU connector on the harness anyway now because you dont want it breaking while you're driving. when your engine cuts out, the brake booster cuts out. ever tried to brake with the engine turned off? it's incredibly scary and considering this is an extremely heavy vehicle you really dont want that. standard epoxies and adhesives soften above 60C as well which means it wont last in an automotive environment.

chances are your ecu isnt even getting powered. post a picture of your connector.

I have an extra blue ECU harness connector if you are interested, 10 bucks plus actual shipping from Edmonton Canada.

You can find wiring diagrams and schematics in the online service manual, available here in the "everything you need to know about the Z32" sticky...invaluable information and help doing what you are doing, it has saved me MANY times. It's possible some tests and consultations there may have saved you from all of the work you did taking a guess that didn't pay off.
Also, try to address the advise and questions/requests of the people who respond to your post, or they really can't help if their good advise is in effect ignored (elecfus)...
