Just thought I'd share a little story. I'm heading back from Tallahassee last night on Hwy. 27 at approx. 70 mph when I start to cross over a bridge. Suddenly, the truck in front of me (barely 10 feet) slammed on his brakes and comes to a complete stop. I lay on the brakes like there was no tomorrow in fear of losing my brand new darling and my health and come to a complete stop with a foot to spare. Come to find out some idiot was stopped in the middle of the left lane trying to make a u-turn and had traffic backed up at least 11 cars. +20 from me to Nissan!! (I'm sure my insurance feels the same and luckily there was nobody driving behind me)

Man..that must of been a butt puckering experience! I'm glad to hear that no one got hurt! The brakes on the Altima are touchy and good to know that it can stop a vehicle...fast!

I too was able to stop the other night when traffic suddenly stopped cuz ppl merged over to get off to an exit. Well, the DirectTV van behind me wasn't able to stop in time. Now I got a scratched bumper and the van got a trashed front bumper.

A good reason why cross-drilled or slotted rotors with a good set of brake pads is worth the investment.

i remember when i was driving my mom's 2005 Altima 2.5s and my stupid *** friend decided to cut me off in his new GL450 benz and floor his brakes. i hit the brakes and the car kept going, barely stopped in time and there was smoke all over the place... i'm soooo glad my coupe has ABS brakes and they feel really strong..... now i just avoid my friend when i see him on the road since he's been in like 2 billion accidents lol
