Car: 1991 Nissan Stanza

Post

Then I crashed it one cold October morning and now I have a 1991 Nissan Stanza. It has been with my family for a long time (from what I remember since I was 12, I'm 22 this year). The motor has been replaced with a 30K KA24E and the auto transmission only has 100 miles on it. Surprisingly enough, the a/t switch (the one that has power/comfort settings), still works!

I know these things are capable of power as right now the car pulls pretty well stock. Thing is I want a little more pull on the highway and I was thinking of grabbing a turbo from a Z32 and bolting it on. I don't want crazy boost and I know these engine can't sustain anything above 7psi, but I just want this DD with a little more "oomph"

Coming to suspension and chassis on the other hand though, I was wondering where can I find aftermarket support. I know this car shares the same chassis as the U12 Bluebird SSS so I was wondering if a few parts from that car is shareable with the stanza. I don't want the motor (well, maybe the drivetrain), just the available suspension and chassis upgrades (strut tower braces, coilovers, springs, sway bars, etc.).

I don't want to do much really. Just want to tighten up the body and give it some boost. The thing is pretty fun on the corners and weighs a lot less than my Z32! Cheers!

I'll try and take pictures sometime this weekend when it's sunny out, but Rhode Island is getting bombarded with rain for the next 4 days.

The weather sucks pretty much everywhere this year. It's been rough. Looking forward to seeing the pics.

Have fun, as a previous stanza owner you are in for a s*** of a time.

Check the timing chain guides, they break... mine did... wound up in the head.

The auto trans will not be able to handle the boost. It will slip. I suggest putting in the 5 speed transmission..

Are there any other Nissan auto trannies that can handle the boost?

The engine is pretty new, but I will check the timing chain guides.

Will the block be able to handle the boost?
