I'm going to be installing some rapter HIDs (sold by DDMtuning) in my brother's Juke tonight. I'm just wanting some general info from people who have installed HID themselves.

-where are you mounting the ballasts?

-is there any other connector that I need to use besides just the one that plugs into the stock bulbs?

and more specifically if any of you guys have this exact kit, will I need to use the weird blue adapter thing and the 3 loose wires or do I just need to tape them off?

I can provide pics of all the connectors if it helps, just let me know.

I've installed 2 sets of DDM branded kits in my car and one in my wife's car, but I've never worked with this brand and it has some extra wires that were not on my other DDM kits. Like what looks like a ground wire on each bulb and a red positive wire with an inline fuse. I'm guessing I just ground both and hook the red up to the batt, but I'm not totally sure since they didn't come with any installation instructions.

Thanks!

nvm, figured it out on my own. Not too hard and got lucky, it worked the first try.

anyone in the future that needs help with install/wiring on this specific kit let me know. I got the raptor HB5/9007 Hi/Low kit. Works flawlessly from lows to highs, full factory integration.

Say no to "plug and play" kits... all about retrofit to do it right without all the glare.

Either learn to do it yourself, (if you're not handy, I strongly advise against it) or, seek out a local retrofitter. I got mine done too. Beats plug and play by far! My output rivals and even surpasses most luxury vehicles.

i once did a nissan 350z projector retrofit into my 2007 gsxr600 sportbike. was a crazy job, but now a days the "kits" and projectors are much easier to do. i must say, this isnt a job for the rookie mechanic. its still a custom job no matter how easy the kit is advertised to be. awesome look tho.
