How does this compare to Dynamat, another sound deadener for vehicles?

GTMAT pro and GTMAT ultra are discount alternatives to high-cost sound dampening brands such as Dynamat Extreme or Stinger Roadkill Expert. GTMAT has similar performance and has similar qualities of the premium brands but at less than half the cost. Even compared with other discount brands, GTMAT is a great choice because it has been engineered to overcome the usual drawbacks of discount materials, namely low heat tolerance and intense smell.

We have a couple of videos that help explain this, check them out at https://www.youtube.com/user/GTSoundControl

Can I participate to put it in my Z?? My S13 is mainly going to be just a track car so I don't really need sound deadener.

But my Z will love it! The only other thing is it will be a little while before I get a chance to install it because I would like to replace my carpet at the same time.

So if I'm eligible for the sample I'll surely give it a shot just post back up in this thread. :bigthumb:

Thanks,
-Mark

10 sq ft of our 80mil product weighs 3.14 lbs.
10 sq ft of our 50mil product weighs 2.80 lbs.

Our free sample is for the 50mil. Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Getting my car back today FINALLY! !! New motor is ready. Im going to do the trunk area of my hatchback because I get a very loud exhaust drone when I stay at a constant rpm ( I.e. driving on the freeway). I am going to use a decibel meter to measure the noise I hear before I apply the GTMat sound deadener, and then I will measure after the installation.

I was gonna try and measure the decibels and compare, but my phone maxes out at 62 dB. :(
Anyways, I'm gonna apply it to the footwell area and see if that kills some road noise.

so i did get my car back (WOOT!) and i started this little project. no complaints with it really, easy to work with and easy to apply. I would advise you that when you use a razor blade to cut the pieces some of the metal on the sound deadener will give you a gnarly a** paper cut. i have sevral...so wear gloves.

SoCal-S13, thanks for the pictures! Have you had any time to test it? Sorry about the roller. We do have a wooden version that is shipped with orders over 25sq ft and we also sell a deluxe nylon version. Let me know if you need more GTMat and I'll let you know the discounted price.

i have not had time to test it yet. i still have about 5sq ft of material left to apply. im planning on tackling that when i get off work today. looking at what i have done so far makes me want to do the entire car.
