Hey I just called and ordered my sample. Where should I install it to reduce road noise the most: doors, roof, or real wheel wells? I have an s14, so any advise what you guys think is best would be great. Thanks

Realistically, a small piece can be used in the center of a panel to provide acoustic "deadening" and prevent resonance. However, it won't have the total effect that you'd get from doing a proper install with good coverage.

I like to use a square in the center of each door, applied to the door skin. Seems to give the doors a more "solid" feel and cuts some road noise.

For BEST results, just order the kit and do the floorboard / firewall / doors. It's a VERY worthwhile project.

Nice vid SoCal-S13!

DMan, you would be wise to take AZ's advice.

Warped, we aren't able to alter the color of the product ourselves. You can, however, sand it down and paint it after drying.

Flip, can't wait for the pictures!!

Quick question for you guys: Do you prefer the mat product shipped in roll form or pre-cut into sheets?

Id like half and half. I had some areas i wish i didnt have to cut it like floor in driver and passenger sides front and back. However wheel well and small areas to fill in... i prefer to cut my own.

Quickly! :)

I haven't had time to get in the shop and play with it yet, but I think it will be used on our '68 510 restoration. Great idea for areas where the adhesive might get compromised (like the underside of a hood or decklid).

I'm excited to know what you think. :) We are also working on some videos of the product.

I installed a door today. I didn;t realize how much work it was! I had a long day and decided to give it a shot. I do like roller and measure tape, really compliments the set well. The adhesive is pretty strong. I haven't had any driving time with it yet though so I cannot comment on the actual noise.

Hey guys, I just wanted to stop by and say thanks for being one of the more active forums we have posted in. As a thank you, I'd like to inform you of the following.
We are accepting a limited amount of requests, on a limited number of forums, for a 6oz sample of our Liqui-Damp X product. It is a thicker version of Liqui-Damp and dries in a tan color. If you are interested in the sample, please give us a call at 1-855-GTSOUND.

Got my sample the other day. When I get a break from classes I plan on installing it, and might try to make a review video.

Applied some on the driver floorpan yesterday.
Love the roller that comes with it, and how flexible the material is.
I had low hopes for it to kill my exhaust noise, since mine is a bit loud and close to the floorpan, but I'm hoping it blocks some exhaust and road heat.
It's really light too. 4lbs for 10sqft is pretty negligible, no reason not to lay some down in the trunk.

By the way, could you guys remove the music on the website? Or at least add a mute button?
It's very annoying to navigate the website with the sound blasting at me everytime I change the page.

We are actually working on a new site but I'll recommend that they add a mute button if possible. I'm not a fan either. :p
