Actually, let's get the grounding kit on before the uprev. Then they can take advantage of the cleaner electricity.

So am i pming you my number or are how do you wanna set this up.

I need an M45!!! Actually, this weekend, I'm going to sit down and look over the prototype and see what else needs to be done. If everything checks out, I'll post up pricing shortly.

Everything went as planned this weekend. Although Nate did forget the car jack, again. LOL

He stopped by on Saturday morning and got er done. He did a great job on the installation.
I still need some more time to really feel the difference overall.

One thing I noticed while I was racing against him in his EVO (maybe placebo effect) was that it felt as if the gear change was a tad quicker.

Another thing I feel has changed, the stereo sound. It just seems as if I don't have to turn it up as loud as before. It is as if the volume is louder with volume turned up less.

Well, I will post up more things as I noticed them.

Any questions, post.

CL

p.s. 2 great races, although on the first race a tractor trailor turned in front of us at the end of the race. Had to brake fast!! It's not like he didn't see us, d!ck!

Good news guys!

Actually. DOUBLE good news.

1st off, thanks to Carlos for letting us use his M45 (Gorgeous car btw). I did, in fact, forget the jack again :gapteeth: but we got the transmission covered.

Carlos, keep me posted on your results. I'll also swing out there in a couple of weeks to make sure everything is tight and to clean up the terminals contact points.

2nd: WE GOT TO THE ECU! Installing the ECU wire is going to be a little more difficult than on some other Infiniti's, but I'll make sure the instructions cover everything in detail.

I'm going to install the ECU wire on the M35 prototype, then wait for feedback from both testers. If it's good, I'll have pricing and order details up as soon as that happens.

2nd Update:

Well, after driving my car this whole week, I've noticed that the transmission has been one of the biggest beneficiary's of the project.

I first noticed it on the manual shifting. When I raced Nate that day, I swear that I noticed an improvement in the gear changing. It was a tad bit quicker at kicking in the next gear. As I have been driving it around the last couple of days, I noticed that the transmission is actually faster when I have it in just D (Drive) compared to before. So both manual and automatic have benefited.

Another thing I've noticed is that the volume on my stereo seems to be a bit louder. Could be a placebo effect, although it doesn't seem to be. And the same goes for starting the car, it seems to be a tad quicker as well.

One more thing I believe is better, is my MPG's. I have to put this one to the test next tank fill up(Tomorrow). I have noticed(I believe) that it hasn't gone down as fast as usual. I have a lead foot, I average about 13 mpgs. No Bueno, but if my work is paying for the gas I don't feel I have to take my lead boot off yet.

Well, I will keep posting as I notice more things. This few I posted seem to be the ones that I have noticed right off the bat after driving around with this kit.

Thanks Nate.

We'll meet again for another shot at redemption for you.

Many of the same things I noticed, however I didnt get the ECU grounded (yet) so I didnt notice the improvements in normal drive, only when using manual shifting. I have to meet up with Nate soon to get the ECU grounded in my car.

Soo when this kit is made for the m45 how much is it expected to cost? is the installation intensive? seems like a sweet mod

Update:

I've been driving the car with the mod for a few months now, I can say that my MPG's didn't really improve. If they did, I haven't noticed it. I have a lead foot though.
I'm still averaging about 13 to 14 mpg's.

I will stay on track with what I stated about the quicker response with the gear changing. If I drive on D, it feels the gears change a bit faster. It also feels faster if I change the gears manually. By now I don't think it's the placebo effect.

My stereo sounds like it's louder. When I play a cd it sounds as if I don't have to have it as loud as before to reach the levels I want. I think the CD player has been the better benefactor when compared to the radio.

Overall I'm satisfied with the MOD. I believe for the quicker response on my transmission it is well worth it!

I will continue posting things I notice. For now this is what I can think of for the moment.

Questions, ask.

For the price of two full tanks, this Mod is worth it for the shifting alone.

Lets be patient with Nate, he said he had some "transitions in life". I hope the M social curse didn't rub off on him and now he's in the middle of a divorce. It's been going around like the flu.

Guess he's not going to respond. He's logged on a few times since I PM'd him, but has yet to reply or post in any threads. Bummer. I think there were quite a few of us who really wanted to get this kit. Maybe CL92868 can take pics of where the wires are connected so we can attempt to duplicate it?

Im going to call him right now

EDIT:
Ok guys heres the deal. Nate told me to go ahead and post this about whats going on. The forums aren't notifying Nate properly when he gets a PM, and he is kinda busy so he cant get on the site very often. It seems that Nate's situation was mostly worked out as he is now back in OC. I am meeting him on Sunday to do the ECU ground on my car that he figured out. In addition, Nate gave me to go ahead to give any of you his phone number who are serious about getting this done. And I mean serious, not just to call him up and bug Nate about stuff or ask him questions. You can find info on a grounding kit online with some searching and the first post here has a lot of info. The price I believe is $120, but dont quote me on that. Ask Nate what the final price for the kit is if you want to get it done.

Remember that the grounding kit is just a kit! Nate isnt going to come over and personally install the mod for each and every one of you. You are buying the high quality wires with the connectors and you install the kit yourself. Instructions are included and the wires are already pre-cut to the length you will need with the connectors already installed on the wires. It is pretty easy and will take about an hour of work, and to do the transmission ground and possibly the ECU ground you will need a jack to get the car up

Thanks for the update Enigma. Has he completed the specs for the kit on the M45 or just the M35? I know it's just a kit. I could build the kit myself for probably cheaper. (Was an electrician for many years.) What I don't know is what points are being used. I would love to support a site vendor by buying his kit, but if he is unable to make it, then I would be fine with just knowing where the points to ground are.

M35 and M45 are complete. Well basically. The M35 is nearly identical to the G35, I think it is just a couple inches difference in one or two places. I am meeting up with Nate on Sunday to finish off the M35 kit, and the M45 was done on another member a while back. Ill talk to Nate on Sunday about maybe helping him out with this stuff so we can finish this up and get his sales going to all the members here.
