I think TurboKA37 meant to say you can NOT access the maps.

And to plug in, you need a PC or laptop and will need the support tool(program) and cable. The program is easy to obtain. The cable is a bit pricey, but many have made some and offer them for sale.

Yes, but keep in mind the S13 KA is not a supported application. The E-Manage will work on it, but it may not have full functionality. Particularly when swapping MAF's to a supported application. The S13 KA MAF is not listed, so it can not automotically adjust it for you. It would have to be mapped completely from scratch.

I forgot to mention I have an s14(95) KA in my car(89). WOuld it be a pain if I just swap my OBD1 to OBD2 so that I wont have to worry about re-programming the emanage?

Being OBD1 or OBD2 is not really the issue. The factory tuning maps and which MAF it uses is most important. The E-Manage is only a piggy-back so as long as it is set to read the inputs and be able to output correctly, then it will work. But there are just certain functionalities that the E-Manage has that makes swapping out a supported MAF for another Supported MAF with ease. The fuel mapping will probably be just as easy, but I'm not sure if the timing adjustement curve wil be correct. The E-Manage doesn't receive feedback for the timing advance curve, so unless the voltage to advance curve is the same betweent he S13 and S14, it may be a bit off.

any updates on this...i am thinking of turboing my ka with the greddy kit. how was the install did greddy give you like a step by step? does the downpipe hook up to the stock cat back or do you need a all new exhaust to? thanks

i didn't get a instruction kit, but it is supposed to come with one. the downpipe attaches to the stock cat. no need for a new exhaust.

If one wanted to use an S14 SR20 downpipe, would he be able to?

I'd say no. The Greddy kit usues a top-mount turbo. The OEM SR turbo is bottom-mounted.

I'm wondering about the actual downpipe itself, not the little elbow that goes to the stock cat.

If the sr20 elbow ends at the stock catlytic convert pipe location and the greddy turbo kit ends at the same place, why not use an s14 sr20 downpipe? Granted, you would have to weld on the extra o2 bung for the 97-98 cars (95 and 96 too?), or just leave it off and have the engine light on, or splice the 2nd o2 wires into the first one.

i just welded in a fitting for the oil return.

i was wondering about the downpipe as well. my guess is that they're slightly different, but it probably is a good idea for someone with the greddy kit to check that out since i bought a custom made pipe.
