joe603 wrote:Ok...the is a HUGE difference between the practice tracks and the event tracks. The car feels totally different. By lap 4 on trail mountain the car is damn near uncontrollable. It's to the point of not being fun...I think we should turn off tire wear or this one will be ugly. Maybe even allow medium tires...
So what time is the race? Just finished eating at the varsity...way overrated
What about turning on ASM for the F2 race? The more aggressive you get the more it will slow you down so at lap 5 when you tried burning up the track, the ASM will keep you on the track but your times will suffer (because of the heavy tired wear).

biggie wrote:If it is happening tonight I hope I find out in time. Gotta cook dinner in a little while then TV time, so I'll try to check back in around 7pm to see if a time is set.
I had it set for today @ 7pm. My bad for being late on that.

You guys want to do it tomorrow?

Holy crap...turning on asm makes all the difference! It was actually fun :) I was slower than my practice runs...so if you can control the car, you'll be faster without the aids.

Also, you can still wipe out if you're not careful!

I'm ok with a little later if needed. Gotta cook some dinner now and hope to be on by 6 just in case.

Big thanks to the gentlemen that made it out to the racing last weekend.

Upsets were flying! Although Joe had the best qualifying times he didn't manage to take one 1st place finish! Mean while Biggie with out much practice was able to fight almost to 1st place overall, missing it by only 2 points! Lots of overtaking and good times. Thanks again guys!

I was having an off day...getting burned out with this game and may need to take a break. I screwed up on the first chicane in Monza and that was it for the race. I just couldn't keep up for some reason.

Not sure if I'll be on this weekend or not.

Well what we can do is a practice run before qualifying in order to work on the kinks if you guys have the time.

Thanks for showing up every one! Haven't seen ThatGuy in a while so that was a pleasant surprise. Also it was awesome to finally see a more full track when 3 or so randoms showed up to race with us.

It came down to the wire. A tie had to be broken for the first time in NICO GT5 racing history! Great stuff every one!
Oh, and it wasn't a weekend NICO race until Joe raged about the track/car :rotfl . I swear I want to start recording the audio so this way I can make a Joe montage.

For any NICO members wondering why the beige R35 (random with the PSNID of "Serenity") was so fast, he was using Sport Softs with an R35. He would of gotten smoked by the NICO weekend warriors if he had used the Sports Mediums!

Ya ya ya...the game pisses me off with the invisible crap. Not sure what the deal was, but my car was just slower. I may need some one on one help...settings may have to do with it. I had the same car for stage 7 and it just wasn't as fast.

Gentlemen I bring you......
GT300 I did some practice runs (2-3 laps per track), the most fun I have had yet. I used an actual GT300 car instead of using a tuned down GT500 (not sure if that changes anything). Those cars are soo balanced and fun to drive. Lap times will come down to how aggressive you are with your car/driving line. These little guys stick to the ground and don't make much in the way of HP so turns are a breeze.

good I missed the last GT500 that I really wanted to be in. Hopefully I can make it.

So it can be any car including race cars that meet the $ amount, weight, and PP?

Yeah. Any race car as long as it is FR, costs less than 1 million credits and has less than 600PP in stock form.

You get bonus points if the car is Japanese, but it doesn't have to be.
