Bought a 2014 Rogue for my daughter recently and when I tried to buy the latest Map update, the web site said "Our records indicate you already have the most recent map information for your vehicle. Please check back after your first year of ownership for a new map update." Just to be clear, I hadn't put any vehicle-specific information into the web site when it gave this message. Any of you can see this message by going to nissan.navigation.com and selecting Rogue with either 2014 or 2015. Selecting 2016 Rogue offers the latest update so that model year apparently can be updated.

Called navigation.com and they said that these models have some sort of "technical issue" preventing them from being updated!? It has now been about six months and they are giving me the same story, so it seems like this is never going to be fixed. Has anyone figured out any way to update their 2014/2015 Rogue Nav or does anyone know anything more about this issue? Seems like they just don't want to bother figuring out the issue since it isn't the newest model, but this seems like a huge defect that affects a lot of people.

Thanks...
Please read the previous posts. And yes, you're probably SOL.

Agree the OEM map updates are overpriced, but could be worse--for 2014-2015 Rogues, NO UPDATES ARE EVER GOING TO BE AVAILABLE AT ANY PRICE and Nissan is unwilling to investigate the technical issue and see if anything can be done to fix this, see this post:

http://www.that dead forum/2008-nissan ... dated.html

As a result, any of the 250,000+ 2014/2015 Rogue owners who paid extra for Nav are stuck with an outdated system that can't be trusted. Of course we can buy an external Nav, but we paid for a vehicle with Nav and expect to have the option to purchase map updates.

Navteq says it's a Nissan technical issue. Nissan refuses to look into it. Anyone know how to contact Bosch about it if they code the update on behalf of Nissan?

Where did you get this information from? Something doesn't make sense here. As already mentioned by jeffs555, the updated SD card part numbers are 25920-9HT0A (released in 2017) and 25920-9HS0A (older version). Both of them are available right now at eBay and Amazon for about $60-80.
I personally installed the 25920-9HT0A cards into a 2015 Rogue and a 2014 Xterra. Pretty sure they'll work with all similar 2014-17 Nissan nav units as well (Altima, Sentra, Frontier, Titan etc.).
When the new card is inserted, the radio will say that it needs to install the update. Let it install it and reboot.
And I can definitely see some new streets on the map from a recent development completed in 2016, so it's definitely a new map.
