Can you replace the fuse and then get your ticket fixed?

i'm surprised he didn't just try and find things wrong w/ your car to give you a ticket for. sucks about your taillights tho

yeah so cool off. Everyone always feels they are the victim of the cops. When in fact he didnt do anything wrong, and you DID have imporper equipment thus the burned out brake light fuse which would probably account for both your brake lights. You got unlucky, and the cop didnt like you obviously for whatever reason because usually they will give you conditional tickets or a warning.

Unless you were totally unlucky and you KNEW for a FACT that your brakes were working earlier in the day you were irresponsible for driving a very unsafe car for who knows how long. Maybe be happy nobody was hurt and your car still runs. Find out why the fuse blew maybe. Would you have known if the cop never pulled you over? Obviously not.

i dont understand why they need you license and registration to tell you your light is out...

It should be more of a common curtasy thing, we do pay their salaries.....

Dont get me wrong, i dont dislike the cops, but in my area the cops are notorious for following young kids and giving them tickets for stupid things like your 3rd brake light being out if they cant bust you for anything else.:bsface

i got exhaust too loud and obstructing license plate which is BS. the injen plate frame i got one for that plus i was running late to my class so the whole story was i was apperently doing 52 in a 35 i didn't get the ticket fo rtht but i did get the ticket for the other two things when in fact i was going 41 when i went pass the cop (he was going in the opposite direction which made it even worst it's like do you have anything else to do. heres an ides why don't you go find hooker and strip search her.) then he pulled me over.

I've had my share of run-ins with cops. The best thing you can do it cooperate and be apologetic. It also helps to play dumb. Thats one reason, I got away with my ehaust being too loud. One question, why don't they pull over trucks running staight headers and leaking gas all over the road? Theres lots off rednecks in Indiana and hardass cops in their 20s calling you son, when hes only a couple year older than me. I just had to get this out. nick

Play their game.. I rescently got a 75 dollar ticket for doing 10 over the speed limit, but the cop couldnt prove it and he checked the estimated section.. If I had brought it to court, I would have won and thats that, the only reason I got the ticket is because I was impaitent with the officer.. (That and Holden is the 2nd or 3rd worst place to be pulled over in Mass).

Remember, If you pull over 1st, you stopped of your own free will, he did not pull you over.Play his/her game.. Be sickeningly polite but not sarcastic..Like previously, play dumb, but not too dumb.

And it can't hurt to take the ticket to court if you belive there is a resonable chance of getting it reduced or thrown out.

The worst thing they can do is say no.

Honestly, most cops see an import with any mods and probably think stupid kid who probably likes to street race.

On another note, my tail lights were out(not the brake lights, just the running lights) got pulled over, I new about it, played stupid, got a warning and the cop told me to drive with my hazards on. Of course I was in a sedan with my wife.

And charge you court cost!I do believe with a improper equipment charge the judge may let you get out of it if you can prove that you got it fixed ASAP:confused: I know you can get a speeding reduced to improper equipment.Check into it,who knows.BTW lots of tickets tonight im going to drive slow for a while!*knocks on wood*

Just to check and make sure you don't have any warrants for your arrest.

My best freind got a ticket for going 30 in a 35 zone. Cop said he went around a corner too fast (this is in a neighborhood, not some backroad with sharp turns). crazyness....

on the other hand 95% of cops who pull me over have been very polite after they get the 'business' part out of the way (making sure I'm not wanted, car not stolen ect) I've been pulled over several times but have only managed 2 tickets in my life (and both of those were for much lower infractions than I was pulled over for).

It seems to me that most people who think cops are ****s end up getting a lot more tickets than the ones who don't. I think it has somthing to do with the attitude they display when pulled over. Even if your nice to the cop, he can tell what you really think of him by the way you act, and if he dosn't like it of course he's going to give you a hard time. I'm the same way with people at work, everybody smiles and trys to be nice, but you can tell the difference between those who really feel that way and the ones who are just blowing smoke up your ***.

just a thought anyhow,

Paul

same thing happend to me, only mine was crappy because it was a foglight, and it was aftermarket, but i fought it in court and got the ticket thrown away. usually they will give you like 3 days to fix it or something, at least here in WI.
