Good ridence. I'm guessing you bought some POS Rustang, Craparo, or Fireturd, right?Inklover17 wrote:Thanks to everyone on this board for your insight, opinions, and knowledgehowever comma I got rid of the 300zx POS and bought something that has AMERICAN POWER and stuff I can work on.
Being able to light up the rear tires when there is no weight on top of them isn't a sign of "real power".Inklover17 wrote:Actually I bought a 69 Chevy C-10 with a 350 you know real power the kinda stuff this generation has no idea about and plus what's wrong with lets say a 68 Camaro?? I'd take that over some POS JAP car!
You could have had a pinch of class and come in here and simply said you are moving on to a new vehicle that better suits your tastes at the current moment.Inklover17 wrote:Thanks to everyone on this board for your insight, opinions, and knowledgehowever comma I got rid of the 300zx POS and bought something that has AMERICAN POWER and stuff I can work on.
His car's intelligence matches his own. Clearly this IS now something he can work on. Something that matches his cognitive prowess. Something without a brain!Inklover17 wrote:Actually I bought a 69 Chevy C-10 with a 350 you know real power the kinda stuff this generation has no idea about and plus what's wrong with lets say a 68 Camaro?? Now where would the fun be in that?audtatious wrote:Come on guys, let it go.

They aren't underengineered, they're just old technology. Especially a 1969 motor. Hell. The VG is old technology compared with the new VQ motors.titaniumbmx wrote:dude has some learnig to do. america cars are under engineered piles O' crap. i hope you have some real patience
Try going around a corner in that truck.Inklover17 wrote:Actually I bought a 69 Chevy C-10 with a 350 you know real power the kinda stuff this generation has no idea about and plus what's wrong with lets say a 68 Camaro?? I'd take that over some POS JAP car!
You know....I was just wondering the other day if a Nissan V8 would fit nicely under the hood, but I don't want to get rid of my stock transmission. ( That's NSR_s30 on the left, and me on the right.)NSR_s30 wrote:Well good thing is that he isn't dropping a v8 in a Z car.. thank god. Good riddance.
I highly agree. My 300 has over 256,000 on it and runs great. Granted I don't know what was done before I bought it (except for the fact that the "Bitching Betty" box under the hood was removed), but I had a 96 Pontiac Grand-Am I bought brand new off the show room floor in 96, and that thing had problems left and right before I even hit 100,000 miles on it. I performed all the necessary preventative maintenance on it (oil changes, tune-ups, etc) when those things were due by either mileage or date, and the POS still fell apart on me. I went through 4 water pumps in less than 3 years (Dealer installed). The transmission broke (luckily in my driveway) when it had less than 110,000 miles. One of the small pinion gears blew apart and literally shot through the housing . With just under 85,000 miles on the thing one of the O-Rings on one of the fuel injectors blew while I was driving it, and by some miracle I was able to drive home the remaining 8-10 miles I had to go. Personal opinion...most of Americas automakers designers are getting lazy. The may have different body styles/models, but they all look pretty much the same.Leegamer wrote:Y
Also; as far as quality goes, take any American sedan and take any Japanese sedan and drive them both for 250,000 miles. See which one will be in better condition at 250,000 miles. Chances are the American car will be long dead and the Japanese car will still be running, maybe needing a new headgasket at most.
Yeah, a good 68 Camaro, Z28, 4 speed, restored. That's what you should get. Probably cost you 15-20 years total wages, but what the heck, you'll have an American muscle car.Inklover17 wrote:Actually I bought a 69 Chevy C-10 with a 350 you know real power the kinda stuff this generation has no idea about and plus what's wrong with lets say a 68 Camaro?? You should come up here to Canada, the Deers would have a field day with you.Inklover17 wrote:Ok Ok again how was I supposed to strap a deer to the roof of a Z? You guys I'll take a little razzing from but F%$k Canada!
Im not sure if most of the american auto makers are getting lazy. They are being forced to compete in an unfair job market. The import makers produce cars much cheaper than the american makers. Once you have multi billion dollar factory built it becomes very difficult to have it redesigned because of costs.Osiris1977 wrote:Personal opinion...most of Americas automakers designers are getting lazy. However I must defend my Mustang. My 99 V6 is near 175,000 and it's still going strong. Although I do try to take care of it with preventative maintenance measures.
