Got my tails smoked!

OK, now, I know this is not too exciting for everyone, as many A/C's I see here already have smoked tails, BUT, for me, I am stoked I got this done, and it looks awesome! 1st pic, is before, and then second pic after! No, I did not do it myself, I paid the local tint shop that tinted my roll ups, they did a pretty nice job. The second pic is a little darker as it was in my garage at the time, but you get the idea. Now the tails blend better with the windows.[img]

Looks awesome , have you thought about debadging it? and what % tint did they put on? Cost?

Looks real good. I think that smoked tails look best on white coupes.

Thanks! I put up some better pics now For the tails, I think he said like 35%? I am really not sure, but the running lights and brake lights show up just fine, not so dark that the are hard to see.I have been thinking about debadging it...does this affect trade in value? I would think it wouldn't Is there a DYI on debadging?

You can just search "debadge" and 30 threads will come up. Its one of those questions that has been asked a million+1 times.

basically its heat + dental floss(or fishing line) then remove adhesive and wax. searching will give you more details.

all of the shops by me refuse to touch the tail lights. they claim the bend in the lights is almost impossible and to much of a hassle to tint. looks good.

I say you get it sprayed. You can get it done for not even 40 bucks if you can get hooked up. but yeah i sprayed mine cause i guess the cops here are chill and if i get pulled they will just make me get ones which means some new LED tails so yeah.

Nope, just the tails. I persoanlly thought it was a bit high, but living in So, Cal, everything is a bit high. It was 120 to get my roll ups done. I had those done eariler at the same shop right after I bought the car, the rears were done already, I had bought this car used.

i am now having a small problem with the tint on the tails, coming up on the bottom part of the tails, I am gonna have to take it back to the tint shop to see what they can do to correct it.
