I believe there is a huge difference between street racing and spirited driving...yes, I'm guilty of spirited driving. Yes, both have their risks, but I believe that street racing poses a much greater risk.

Again, feeling the power and street racing are very different entities in my book...I often excelerate MUCH faster than I NEED to. I sometimes lean into a curve much harder than I need to....my def of spirited driving or feeling the power. If my post was seen as flaming, it was not the intent and do apologize. I think some of us older members have seen over the years some horrible things and feel the need to share what we have seen or what we have learned.

lets all not be hippocrites, we on the G forum, a sports car forum...
I don't think that you are a hypocrite if you once did street race and now see the dangers/potential horrific results that could/do happen and want to spread the word. I also don't believe that someone who does engage in spirited driving and does not approve of street racing is a hypocrite....all activites performed in a car pose some degree of danger/risk.
I thought that the op had an excellent response to my initial post.
