To start this story off, I need to go back in time, to `1983. In November of that year I bought the truck in my avatar, an `84 720 King Cab. I traded in my `80 Z28 for it all because a friend of mine had just bought a reg cab 720 and I fell in love with it. It was the Orange Mist. I had to have one too. The K.C. was the only other Orange Mist on the lot so I got it. I kept it for just over a year when I went in the Navy, thats when I sold it. Worst car mistake ever made, or one of them lol.
Anyways, fast forward. I came across this `85 720:

and had to have it. But just like the `84 K.C. 25 years ago, I got bored with it and almost traded it off shortly after getting it but I got some wheels and lowered the front and done this and that to it and fell in love with it, again.
Over night it went from stock to this:

Now, back to the future lol. I was getting bored with this `85 I recently got but I wasn`t gonna get rid of it because of the fuel economy but the thrill was gone. Then I found some old aluminum saw blade wheels for $100 all of sudden life was breathed back into my li`l 720.
Stock height:

After a few turns of the 17mm open end and a loss of 1" in the back

One more thing. In mid `84 I got a wing for my K.C. but took it off prior to getting rid of it when I entered the Navy. I was able to locate that very same wing and now have it in my possession but it needs some work. So take a guess whats going on the bed of the li`l `85 :yesnod

Thanks.
A buddy of mine came by today and showed me his li`l truck he`d just got. A super clean `78 Li`l Hustler.

It was his uncles truck that he`d gotten new.

Man, I live in the wrong part of the country. I'm the only Nissan/Datsun truck head in NY state I swear! I wish I had a buddy who stopped by with his 620 too!

Got the wing on. I know it needs work but if its on I can see what needs to be done and am better at getting it done than I would be if its setting up leaning against the shed lol. The whole truck is a rolling work in progress anyway so ...

Ok, that is way cool! Very different! I like it and I don't think I've ever seen one before! Is it easy to remove, like if you wanna put something big in the bed of the truck?

I don`t remember where I bought this from, its been 27 years ago now lol but I`m like you, it is very different now that I think of it. I wish it was easier to remove but at the moment its on there with 3M tape. When it was on my `84 it fit better and I had it on there with bolts since the 84 had a rail type lip on the bed where this one don`t. I`ll figure something out though.
Thanks for the comments ;)

Nice! I got a wing on my 81, but it has a brake light on it. But still, very cool.

Cool, I see it in your profile pic now. Reminds of when this wing was on the truck in my profile pic. Mine needs some attention but its gonna just ride for a while tho :yesnod

Turns `em into headturners is what they do.
Here`s a funny story from way back when I still had the truck in my avatar, I sold it in `85. Me and my bro n law were out cruisin` one weekend night and some young kid came up in a Ford SWB truck wanting to race somebody and my BNL told him "we`ll run ya title for title" the kid just laughed. my BNL told him "what ya laughing at? Just look at it! man this thing will do 140 mph and we the title in the glove box" lol I guess that was enough to satisfy the kid, he went on and didn`t bother us any more. He finally got his race though. We went and seen it, it wasn`t a title for title race but should`ve been. I would`ve smoked that ford that night lol
