Lord have mercy on you if you stick with the VG. I was working on one of those a couple days ago trying to help a friend remove his turbo. Let's put it this way... it's quicker to pull the motor to replace it!

Dam, At least your going with another true engine such as the VG rather than an SR toy engine.

I have a feeling that you will come back later on for another Ca project.

If you think working on a VG3sET is insane, try working on the VG30deTT, I replaced few for some of my customers and Lets say you need some skinny hands like mine lol to work on such beasts.

Best of luck F3600 and keep us posted with your project.

Cheers, PULSAR GTRRafi

At one point when I was replacing the my Vg30de, I wanted to install an RB26dett, but the funny part is, the engine bay isn't long enough to put an rb26dett, I did all the measurement and I was disappointed, believe it or not the 240 engine bay is longer than the 300zx Z32 engine bay. Thus thats way people can put an rb26 in their 240sx.

Sorry to hear you go, but I think you'll be back. The CA is too much fun my friend...

rb26 fits nicely in z31's

and I've seen one z32 with an RB26 but no finished pics...

and here's an RB25 in a z32...

so I guess it does fit in a z32, but probably requires some hacking and moving of the radiator.

I don't know how or where they fitted the radiator, the measurements that I made, it didn't clear out the rad. Do you know the source of the Z32 pics, I will try to attempt it some day when the $$ is more available.

Thanks for the pics,

v mount radiator/intercooler setup possibly... or just radiator infront of the radiator support rather than behind it. I got the rb25 picture from meggala.com but he had no info, only pics.

the rb26 picture is from:http://www.speedandsoundstl.comand they said they're still doing the install, so more pictures to come

I think they just moved the radiator infront of the core support...

I checked out the link for the Z32 and it seems that they removed the rad support to make room for the engine and I don't believe the will be putting the rad support back on, so, I am still curious where are they going to fit the rad, but 2 thumbs up for going with such a project.
