I like the looks of the R6 better, but the 650F is almost $3K less.

Merry Christmas Tiger!

Yeah... I loves t3h metal. \m/ (>.<) \m/I've been listening to a lot of 3 lately after seeing them at Progressive Nation tour with Opeth, Dream Theater, and BTBAM. Check them out sometime if you like progresssive metal. They put on a MEAN live show but their CD's are so underwhelming compared to live... its sad.

EDIT: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mnt9GxE-bxA Word, there's a link for 3 live at Prog Nation.

I watch every video you guys post in Music Room. What's up with vocals these days? It seems like there's too much growling going on. What happen to good old straight up normal metal vocal and singing?????? Or am I too old????

Never heard of them, but they sound good. I love screamo bands like A Current Affair, Saosin, Bless The Fall, Endwell, Vanna, and these guys have that same type of style. They sound awesome.

I gave Escape The Fate a try about a year ago, a friend burnt me their first album. Didn't really get into them, sounded too generic. Can't say anything about their newest album. Is it any good? Any songs you recommend?

It's not that you're getting old.

Check out some modern power metal bands. I'm not really into the genre, but I only hear good things about Sonata Arctica.

Here are a few songs by them:

Sonata Arctica- Paid In Full

Sonata Arctica- Victoria's Secrete

also a big fan of screamo, especially alesana. ETF's new album is kinda a bummer- the new lead singer is from bless the fall. the only song i would really recommend is "this war is ours"

how can you not like judas priest?

I'm into Sonata Arctica big time. Their debut album was voted best metal album back in 2000. I've been following them ever since. I've found that their live performance is kinda weak though. Sound is not that tight and vocal is not strong just like in the albums.

Jani definitely needs more recognition. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s4sg-nzKFIQ

As far as screamo band goes Pantera and In Falmes are the most I can take. Sorry, I just can't stand other bands.

Screamo is basically emo-ish bands that scream. So In Flames is not screamo, and Pantera is definitely not even close (Anselmo's voice is much more of a shout anyway). There are many genres that incorporate screaming.

That truly is a good metal. I saw Megadeth 2 times and they were really good. I like Marty Friedman. He did a lot of carp like after he left Megadeth.

I've been listening to this one a lot since you posted it. I like Sonata Arctica, but haven't checked out Unia album yet. Melody is amazing, but what happen to guitar solo????? There was a keyboard solo, but this song doesn't have guitar solo. It's such a waste of Jani's talent.

I saw them Bring'em Bach live. He sure can sing.

This is first time I listen to CKY. Not bad. I liked how two guys sing back and forth.

He's a great drummer but he seems like a douche in interviews. I like drummers who can do lots with a 4 piece.
This isn't a Mike Portnoy kit. It's a Terry Bozzio kit. Just FYI.

I just typed big drum kit on Google and that's one of the first ones that came out. Not much of a fan of big drum kits or Mike Portnoy.

I'm not into powermetal, but my girl got me into this band. She's a big powermetal fan. I hate powermetal, but once in a while some of the bands she likes will stick to me.

Stratovarius- Hunting High and Low

Stratovarius- Eagleheart

Keyboard solos are still cool.

Sonata is another band my girl got me into. Check out the Stratovarius links I posted, you may like them too.
