You need to ask if they will warranty the motor with you being in the states. Then get it in writting. +1 for it not being from Quebec because those frenchies do weird business.

when you buy from canada....... dont expect much in the way of warranty.

no harness or ECU...... going to cost you an arm and a leg to get or a megasquirt setup.

no IC kit either.....

what you going to do transmission wise? going to need a CA bell housing.

bought my CA from Japanese Star Motor. Its in NY and my motorset was pretty nice. Clean, started up no problems. Wiring was a little funky but i got it down and it works perfect. Im just working out a few bugs (ie heating, running rich). it was 1400 shipped btw. Engine, Trans, ECU, MAF, Ignitor, Motor Mounts, Turbo..everything needed except intercooler. Good Luck!

i live in albany no joke good guys dean is a little hard to understand but there good last i wa there they had 1 ca but it had a hacked wiring harness really bad but you can figure it out eventualy

Why not buy from a place in houston or Dallas? You could ask them to do compression test. Plus you get to physically see the engine your getting and all the extras. (if any)

Im gonna be selling my setup soon if you're interested. Its got some pretty decent upgrades. Has a GTi-R T28 turbo good for 300+hp, turbo has about 10,000 miles since I bought it last year and a half. I bought it new from cheapturbos.com. Has a standalone ecu, custom wiring harness. Nismo 8 puck clutch. All you would need to get 300+hp is bigger injectors, bigger fuel pump and a tune.
