SEARCH = OBD
Pro Tip: Search the entire site, not just one forum.

Some code readers may work better with one car brand vs. another, but there really isn't one that is best just for the Rogue.

From the Rogue Forum:
Looking for a nissan specific OBD2 reader

From the General Chat Forum:
Looking for affordable OBDII diagnostic scan tool
The answer you're looking for is in this thread.

Hey.

For what it's worth, I found this page with recommendations for those bluetooth ODBII devices.

https://www.carscanner.info/choosing-obdii-adapter/

This guy wrote the app CarScanner.info so I guess he had to deal with connecting to a lot of different ODBII bluetooth devices. What he says is that some of the devices have bugs in them or don't have the full command set.

There are 2 devices he recommends.

I actually got one of the ones he says not to get. But I got it for cheap and before I downloaded his app. (So, before I visited his website and saw his recommendations.) I'm just going to see how far I get with it. But I do plan to eventually get one of the ones he recommends.

Take care. :)

I bought a OBD2 Bluetooth reader on Amazon/EBay for like $20, been clearing people's codes with it for 5 years now. I use Torque on my phone to interface with it

Edit : it can pick up all the codes, and let's you make Custom HUD screens for info like RPM, temps, etc, pretty good app

I use a elm327 blue tooth dongle code reader with torque pro, works great for most vehicles to read/clear engine codeS. I also have the CVTz50 app specifically for the Rouge cvt. Both apps work great with the ELM327 on my android phone. Total cost was $5 for each app and $20 for the obd2 Bluetooth dongle. Happy with it for the past 6 years.

What exact elm327 code reader you have? Thanks!

Looks like this, older version I’d guess.

I'd consider looking for one with a power button
