Anyone have any suggestions on alleviating the glare on the plastic covers for the radio and A/C control screens? It's very annoying trying to struggle and read it normally and especially with the sun beating on it.

Thanks

The displays from the late 94s and 95-96 displays were flat and reduced glare greatly..

Fingerprints? Heheh ...

j/k, try one of those "screen protectors" you can get for palm pilots ... can tear off easy too.but it'll be kinda crazy though.

Yeah, my early '94 has the curved plastic lenses, and my late '94 has the flat lenses. I bougth a '95 radio with the flat screen, but have been unsucessful in getting a flat HVAC controller. The radio display in the late model Q is now going out, so I might be swapint the new radio for it.

I haved learned to live with it, just block the sun with your right hand, when you can't see it.

I wonder if tinting the windows helps with the glare.

There are a lot of Navigation screen protectors on eBay. I bet that is just some film, that might help. I think it is like a buck or 2. Try a computer store as well.

Just putting tint on the lense will not help with the glare, since the tint is just as shiny.

You might try steel wool to rough it up, but you could ruin the display, too.
